The Jewellery Process

At ANDALIOS, it’s just me behind every piece—from the first spark of inspiration to the final handcrafted detail. I believe in transparency and want you to know exactly how your jewellery comes to life. Each design blends modern techniques with traditional craftsmanship to create something truly unique.

Inspiration & Sketching
The Greek islands are my biggest inspiration—the sea, the landscapes, and the architecture all find their way into my work. I start by sketching, refining the shapes until I find the perfect balance of beauty and wearability. These sketches then guide the entire making process.

3D Design & Metalwork
For the metal components, I collaborate with skilled freelance 3D designers to bring my sketches to life digitally. Once the design is finalized, I work with a small local company in Mexico to create a resin mold and cast the pieces in sterling silver. After casting, the silver elements are ready for gold plating.

Handcrafted Ceramic Elements
Every ceramic piece is shaped by hand in my studio using high-quality clay. I sand and refine each one multiple times before firing it twice—once to strengthen the clay and a second time at 1260°C for durability. Depending on the design, I either glaze the ceramics for a glossy finish or leave them unglazed for a natural, matte look.

Thoughtful Materials & Gold Plating
I work with 925 sterling silver, which is hypoallergenic and free from nickel and lead. The gold plating is done by local professionals in Barcelona, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting finish with a 3-micron layer of 18k or 24k gold—offering durability and a rich shine that sets my pieces apart from standard bijoux. I personally cycle to the plating workshop to drop off and pick up each batch, keeping my process as hands-on and sustainable as possible.

Packaging & Final Touches
Sustainability is a priority in everything I do. I package each order myself using eco-friendly materials—wooden and cardboard jewellery boxes, biodegradable Kraft boxes, natural wrapping paper, and eco-friendly tape—ensuring minimal waste while keeping your piece beautifully presented.

With ANDALIOS, you’re not buying mass-produced jewellery. Every single piece is designed, shaped, and assembled by me, with love and care, alongside the expertise of a few talented collaborators, so you can carry a little piece of the Greek islands wherever you go. By blending innovation with traditional craftsmanship, I create jewellery that captures the essence of the Greek islands—lightweight, elegant, and designed to be worn every day or for more special occasions.
